So crazy I had planned on sharing this post with you guys last week but baby had different plans! Surprise we had a boy!!! If you’ve been following along our journey you might know that today is officially baby’s due date and our wedding anniversary! Hooray!

I am so excited to be sharing our gender neutral nursery with you guys! And I hope you love it as much as we do!

I feel in love right away with Milk Street Baby after seeing it at Baby’s on Broadway and then in person at Wizard of Kids. The design is beyond stunning on its own! I knew the design was perfect for our gender neutral nursery!

I had reached out the owner and creator behind Milk Street Baby; Julie Knisley. The company is women owned and operated business and Julie is literally the sweetest and most down to earth person I have ever had a chance to work with!

“Milk Street strives to design truly transitional baby furniture that can transcend the age old design boundaries. Our cribs can be traditional, modern, casual or contemporary.”

Milk Street’s hand made nursery furniture is extremely unique and no two pieces are the same. One thing that sets them apart from anyone else is that these hand made furniture pieces ship at a quick and timely manner! Because we all know as an expecting parent, how important it is to have what we need before baby arrives!

I love that Julie is always available to talk and discuss nursery designs with all parents. She made designing our gender neutral nursery so simple and easy!

We ended up going with the “cameo sleigh convertible crib” in the color steam. I love the rustic yet modern feel to this crib and knew this was the one! We also got the matching dresser and changing box! The details on the dresser are incredible; from having a light on the bottom with three different settings to the lights inside the dresser helping with late night changing! The color again I thought was just too perfect for a gender neutral nursery and something that baby can grow into!

I wanted to find the right pieces that would be perfect with our gender neutral nursery set! Because the crib had to be the focal point in the room, its just too beautiful not to be! Am I right?! And once we had it set up things just started to fall into place!

Our next big item was the glider that we got from Baby’s on Broadway! Adele the store owner literally guided us through this process and I am so thankful for her! (Plus this is another local and women owned store!) She helped us narrow down to just the right color that would work with this crib set and the wall paint we had chosen. The chair itself is extremely comfortable! She even offers better prices than your big box stores! And let me tell you this chair is def worth the price tag!

Then we just added small details with the wall decor, and hangings and just started collecting pieces as we went! I purposely left room to work with on this room based on the babies gender (which I highly recommend doing because there were so many pieces I wanted to buy but would have been too girly for our baby boy’s room). Which I am super excited to add more pieces and can’t wait to share! The whole process was extremely fun and I def couldn’t have gotten this set up with out my mom and aunts help!

Between working with the wonderful ladies at Milk Street Baby, Baby’s on Broadway and Wizard of Kids; I couldn’t have asked for a more simple process! Making this a breeze!
