A Bumpdate | 24 Weeks

Just like that we are already at the 24 week mark! I can’t believe how fast time has flown by! I wanted to give you guys a bumpdate! Baby Hurt is the size of a cantaloupe! Crazy to think huh?! I’m officially 24 weeks and 1 day! Our guest-bedroom is finally cleared out! Its official this sweet little babe has his or her own room!

“How have you been feeling?”

Not much has changed since our last bumpdate! Nausea has decided to still stick around, along with having heartburn almost daily! Trying to stay positive and reminding myself how blessed and thankful I am to be able to carry this sweet little baby. Pregnancy is hard and no one tells you how hard it actually is. Thankfully I have a great support system! My husband has been such a rock and my sisters have been able to answer my questions and help me with my baby registry! Its the little things!!

Your hormones are constantly changing and my mom has ensured me that I am going to be a sensitive parent just like my aunt (oh brother lol)! Girl, sometimes you just gotta cry to cry throughout this process & its totally normal! It is amazing what are bodies are capable of going through! You’re a fricken super women!

“Changes”

The bump is pretty small! I have not gained any weight yet! I feel like I’m still in the phase of “I’m not fat, I’m pregnant” !! My chiropractor bless his heart told me that if he didn’t know, he wouldn’t even know I was pregnant! I’ll take that complaint any day! I do feel like a cow lately! Haha! My clothes are starting to fit a little more snug!

Pregnancy brain: it’s still a thing! I can’t even tell you the crazy things I’ve done over the past few weeks! My husband is even in complete shock! haha!

We felt Baby Hurt move for the first time at 23 weeks! The only way I know how to put into words is what it felt like was little vibrations a.k.a butterflies !!! Even Adam was able to feel it! It was pretty exciting for us and we both were just in shock!

Other symptoms include peeing like crazy, troubles sleeping, headaches, and nerve pain commonly known as “sciatica nerve pain” ! Pregnancy is not glamorous by any stretch! But is such a blessing!

Cravings! I am constantly thinking about food! ALL DAY, EVERYDAY! I may not be super hungry all the time but food is def on my mind! I general crave cereal or ice cream! If only I could have sushi and/or a sandwich! I love a good burger and really any type of snack food (CHIPS) ! Nothing bizarre or crazy yet!

Working out! I love working out at Orangetheory! It has been a lifesaver! Throughout this pregnancy journey, it has been extremely important to me to workout! And let me tell you how fricken proud of myself I am! You’ve got this!

Second Trimester must have items you can read my post here to see what I recommend getting!

We are extremely excited about getting to meet our little one! I am getting really excited about starting on the nursery! And super excited about our partnership with Milk Street Baby! I’ll be sharing all details on the blog to come!

As always thank you for reading! I’d love to hear from you other mamma’s out there your recommendations to anything related to parenthood and what to expect as a new parent!

  1. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
